Expanding from 7" (18 cm) to 14" (36 cm). 3) Sid Caldwell Deaghlan, "drum" pendant necklace, leather, wood, beads. Size: pendant, 3.25'' x 3.5'' x 1.75'' (8 x 9 x 4 cm), strand: 32" (81 cm). Provenance: Property from the Robert L. Pfannebecker Collection Artist biography: Sid Caldwell Deaghlan was born in Richmond, Virginia, somewhere in the early eighties. At sixteen she began her semi-nomadic lifestyle, moving to Exeter, NH to attend Phillips Exeter Academy. After spending some time exploring the west coast, Sid returned to Richmond and completed a BFA in Craft/Materials Studies at VCU. After working as Master Caster for local jewelry manufacturer Hoover and Strong, it was off to Bloomfield Hills, Michigan where she received her MFA in Metalsmithing from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Since then Sid has continued to travel, study, and think/make/talk about jewelry. Presently you can find Sid teaching at the Visual Art Center of Richmond, working as a textile artisan for film, or spending time with her fabulous family. Sid is honored to be a participant in RJM’s return to Richmond.
