Kings with hats are Kgosis (chiefs) wearing upper arm cuffs and necklaces. Queens have upright curved braids. Bishops appear in floor-length grass skirts and shoulder-length earrings. Knights ride springboks. Rooks are men with bird shaped hats, sitting on elephant shaped stools. Pawns wear striated upper body clothing and carry satchels..
