In 1949 he moved to Paris, where he began creating his iron sculptures and was introduced to Julio Gonzalez, another major influence. After the 1960s, Müller ceased using iron as his primary material and began applying his principles of construction to a variety of materials, including iron, brass, bronze, and marble. Müller has been widely exhibited through Switzerland over several decades. In in 156 he exhibited in the Venice Biennale and in 1959 his work was included in Documenta 2 in Kassel Germany,.
