Taino Bird Purging Spatula tick made from manatee bone. Precisely detailed to represent a long-billed bird with secondary figure incorporated into beak. Vomit sticks or purging spatulas were used to cleanse the body prior to taking cohoba and is a unique Taino ceremonial device. Size: 5'' x 1'' x 1'' (13 x 3 x 3 cm).
